Archiving Integration
DSLink
DocU Solution© DSLink integrates document archiving functions between SAP® and DOCSFusion® or DOCS Open®. The DSLink instance processes all incoming SAP requests immediately and sends a confirmation message to SAP stating that the request has been processed or will be processed asynchronously. The following DocU Solution DSLink components work together to pass and process archiving requests:

• DsServer is registered as a service that starts automatically on boot up.
• DsMonitor is the control center that is used to configure and manage all instances of the DSLink and their corresponding DsAgent and DsAsync components.
• A DsAsync is available for each DSLink instance that is configured. DsAsync regularly checks its queue for asynchronous archiving requests, processes those requests, and sends a confirmation message to SAP for each completed request. To reduce the load on various servers, the Administrator can start and stop DsAsync at appropriate times.
• A DsAgent is available for each DSLink instance that is configured. DsAgent monitors communications between the DSLink, its DsAsync, and SAP. If a communication failure occurs, DsAgent checks at specified intervals. When the SAP system is available, DsAgent restarts the DSLink and/or DsAsync, depending on the configuration settings.
